Brooklyn Boatworks proudly launched and sailed their hand
built Optimist Pram sailboats into the Hudson River today. 24 students from two Brooklyn, NY public
schools worked on their boats all year, using hand tools and their own
determination.
The launch was a
tremendous success, with all students getting a chance to sail their new boats,
as well as getting a hour long sailing lesson on Brooklyn Boatworks’ parter
organization Hudson River Community Sailing’s J24 fleet.
